On this album I wanted to step away from big distorted power chords and aimed to be more subtle with the guitar parts. There is a lot of piano melodies and bass lines that drive the songs. In regards to production I was looking for something atmospheric and expansive.

The writing of the album took around 2 weeks. The lyrics were found on an old hard drive and date back from a band I was in back in my early 20s.
I spoke to both my ex bandmates that wrote the lyrics and they were happy to let me use them. Everything was written and demoed acoustically before starting the actual tracking. This is also the first time I have recorded a song completely written by someone else ('Collecting Enemies' was written by my brother)
